David Tate, his wife Maureen, and his son Ryan are longtime residents of the community. David retired from Purdue University, where he was the Director of Medical Laboratory and Forensic Sciences, as well as a Hovde Outstanding Faculty Fellow. He is the chaplain for the Wabash Township Fire Department, the Lafayette Fire Department, and the Tippecanoe County Sheriff's Department. A devout Catholic, he is also active with the Knights of Columbus. He was appointed to the Township Board in April 2021 and has been serving as Board Secretary since February 2022.
