Our Fire Department at a Glance
The Wabash Township Fire Department proudly serves approximately 30,000 residents and countless visitors across approximately 55 square miles of Wabash & Shelby Townships in northwest Tippecanoe County.
Wabash Township is one of the fastest-growing communities in Indiana and encompasses a blend of urban, suburban, and rural areas, creating an incredibly unique community to work in as a first responder. Our staff comprises both volunteer and career personnel assigned to one of our three 24-hour shifts.
Since the department's formation in 1971, WTFD has taken an incredibly progressive approach to ensuring our community receives the best service possible by personnel who pride themselves on adding value to the lives of those they serve.
